The Aga Khan: Prince, Prophet and Sportsman by Stanley Jackson

February 3, 2011

For a frank and intimate biography of the Aga Khan, check out this book by Stanley Jackson. As the description on the inside flap of the dust jacket says,

“Mr. Jackson has had many opportunities of forming a first-hand judgment of the Aga Khan’s many-sided personality. Here he not only shows us the multi-millionaire and sportsman the Western world knows so well. True, we meet the bon viveur whose exploits on the Turf and in the gambling saloons, together with his lavish parties and marriages to four beautiful women have made front-page news for over half a century. But this is only one side of the coin. Equally engrossing is the study of the Aga Khan as the supreme spiritual leader of ten million Moslems all over the world – a prophet, forty-ninth in direct descent from Mohammed.”

Sounds like a fascinating read!

  1. I forgot to mention the quality of the book. As you can see the dust jacket does show a little wear. It is now protected with a mylar cover, to keep it from getting any more worn.
